Obsessed with Black Sesame Seeds. Photo of the day.
I recently started eating a tablespoon of black sesame seeds in the morning because of the many health benefits and have become slightly obsessed with these tiny gems. The more I research for my spices series, the more I feel as if I've been missing out on the abundance of natural medicine mother nature provides. My mother, as well as many Liberians usually toast white sesame seeds then grind them down into a smooth creamy consistency and will most likely eat it with Fufu & Peppeh Soup which is my favorite dish! Black sesame seeds are a great source of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamins B and E.
